Accessibility at PatronPath
Last updated: 2025-10-15
Our commitment
PatronPath is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We actively work to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and, in doing so, adhere to relevant accessibility standards and regulations.
Standards we aim to meet
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA across our public website. WCAG is published by the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative and is a globally recognized standard for web accessibility. Learn more at W3C — WCAG.
Scope
This statement applies to the PatronPath marketing website and any public pages we publish under the patronpath.io domain. Our core service presently delivers reports via email; we apply accessible design practices to those communications as feasible, and we will expand this statement if we launch additional digital products (e.g., a dashboard or mobile app).
Measures we take
- Use of semantic HTML landmarks (
header, nav, main, footer) and logical heading structure. - Keyboard accessibility, including a “Skip to main content” link and visible focus indicators.
- Text alternatives for non-text content.
- Sufficient color contrast for text and user interface components.
- Clear labels, instructions, and error messaging on forms, with support for assistive technologies.
- Respect for
prefers-reduced-motionto limit animation when requested. - Regular automated checks (e.g., axe) and periodic manual testing with keyboard-only navigation and screen readers.
Regulatory context (US & Canada)
In the United States, the Department of Justice provides guidance on website accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We align our efforts with WCAG to support accessibility. See ADA.gov web guidance.
In Canada, federal and provincial frameworks—including the Accessible Canada Act and Ontario’s AODA—reference WCAG AA for websites. Our goal of WCAG 2.2 AA conformance supports these requirements. For general overviews, you may consult resources such as BOIA’s WCAG 2.2 overview.
Known limitations
We are continually improving. If you encounter a problem that prevents access to content or features, please tell us so we can fix it quickly.
